Job description

Our client is looking for a Software Engineer/Kafka Consultant with strong Java development experience. The consultant will design, develop, and support eventdriven applications and data pipelines built on Apache Kafka, working closely with architecture, application, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, realtime solutions., * Design, develop, and maintain Javabased services that integrate with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streams).

  • Build and support Kafka topics, partitions, and message flows for highthroughput, lowlatency applications.
  • Collaborate with architects and other developers to design scalable, faulttolerant solutions using Kafka.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and deployment activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for services, topics, and integrations.

Requirements

  • Strong handson experience with Apache Kafka (building producers/consumers, working with topics, partitions, offsets).
  • Java development experience (Java 8 or above).
  • Experience building eventdriven or streaming applications using Kafka.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work in a fastpaced, collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, or Confluent Platform.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
