Job description

You will be the Training Development Engineer (SA/IT Systems) Level 4 for the Skunk Works® MDCX Autonomy Platform which is responsible for developing and delivering technical training on networking, systems administration, and IT infrastructure.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Training Development Engineer (SA/IT Systems) Level 4 you will be responsible for translating complex system behavior into practical, usable training for operators and maintainers. You will design, create, and deliver high-impact curriculum that empowers teams to operate the MDCX autonomy platform with confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain technical training materials for networking hardware, software, and SA/IT systems.
  • Translate system documentation, engineering data, and requirements into clear, actionable training content.
  • Deliver instructor-led training to engineers, operators, and maintainers.
  • Create multimedia courseware, including presentations, guides, and hands-on exercises.

Requirements

You are a collaborative engineer-trainer with deep technical knowledge of networking and IT systems. You excel at simplifying complex concepts, have strong communication skills, and are passionate about enabling others to succeed with cutting-edge technology., * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related technical or instructional discipline (equivalent experience considered).

  • Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to others (briefings, mentoring, training, etc.)

  • Experience with networking concepts (e.g., routing, switching, network architecture)

  • Experience with systems administration or IT infrastructure Desired Skills:

  • Experience with military, aerospace, or defense systems

  • Advanced administration of Linux/UNIX and Windows-based environments.

  • Background in instructional design or curriculum development

  • Proven experience in Network Installation, configuration, and ongoing administration.

  • Experience creating courseware or structured training materials

  • Active CompTIA Certification

  • Formal training development experience is not required; candidates with strong technical backgrounds and an interest in instruction are encouraged to apply. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
