Job description
- Serve as the primary escalation point for all advisory risk issues involving compliance, legal, risk teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Own escalations end-to-end: intake, analysis, resolution, and documentation.
- Proactively identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Serve as subject matter expert during compliance testing, audits, regulatory reporting, and legal/compliance investigations.
- Support internal and external audit teams with advisory-specific inquiries.
Strategic Advisory Expertise
- Participate in cross-functional project meetings as the advisory subject matter expert.
- Provide clear guidance and direction on risk implications and understand where there are legal and regulatory considerations.
Platform & Technical Operations
- Support and maintain core RBC technical platforms including RBC Infinity (Pega Workflow), Salesforce, Wealth Management Online (WMO), AdvisoryLink (Envestnet), and Account Opening & Servicing (Docupace); ensure systems meet current advisory platform needs and drive year-over-year technical enhancements.
- Identify, prioritize, and advocate for technical enhancements and system improvements.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate resolution with technical teams to minimize risk and operational disruption.
- Stay current on platform capabilities and best practices to optimize advisory operations and user adoption.
Disclosure Management
- Own the quarterly disclosure update cycle for RBC's investment advisory contracts, terms and conditions, and disclosure documents (Form ADV, Part 2A).
- Facilitate senior executive committee meetings to present disclosure changes, address questions, and secure organizational alignment.
- Manage and coordinate advisory content updates including policies, procedures, internal and external web pages, and marketing materials.
Governance & Committee Representation
- Represent Advisory Programs on Conflicts of Interest, Disclosure Management, Product Risk Review, and ADV committees.
Requirements
- BA/BS in business, finance or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in financial services, investment advisory services, securities, or financial markets.
- Series 7 license (willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 5 years' industry experience, preferably in advisory, compliance, or risk functions
- Proficiencies in advisory products, operation functions, disclosure management and RBC systems.
- Detail-oriented with high motivation, strong initiative, and ability to prioritize and manage unstructured tasks with minimal guidance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in technical writing.
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Natural curiosity with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; solid understanding of the wealth management industry.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $90,000-$160,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
