location: Portage, Michigan job type: Contract salary: $46.42 - 55.00 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and execute comprehensive test plans and fixtures for electronic hardware, conducting functional, stress, and environmental testing.
  • Debug hardware failures at the component, board, and system levels while meticulously documenting test procedures, failure analyses, and corrective actions.
  • Lead safety and compliance testing efforts, ensuring products meet stringent EMC/EMI, ESD, thermal, and 60601-1 regulatory standards.
  • Partner closely with design, firmware, and manufacturing teams to review schematics, evaluate design changes, and enhance overall product robustness and testability.
  • Develop and implement automated test scripts and tools to optimize test coverage, efficiency, and repeatability from prototype through production release.
