Job description
Perform Tier 2 technical support including, but not limited to, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software applications, peripherals, and audio/visual equipment. Assist with troubleshooting networking equipment, cyber and physical security systems. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing audiovisual and computer hardware/software issues. Work closely with the campus personnel and other technical staff. Offer technical support on-site, via phone or email., 3. Install Audio/Visual equipment including interactive televisions, projectors, and audio systems.

Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment.

Assist with installation and troubleshooting of network peripherals and equipment.

Assist with troubleshooting and operation of Cybersecurity and physical security systems.

Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems.

Assist with configuration and deployment of mobile devices.

Diagnose and repair district-owned equipment, including printers, computers, and physical security systems.

Reconcile enterprise management systems to maintain accuracy, including, but not limited to locations, models, serial numbers, MAC addresses, etc.

Service equipment according to the established preventive maintenance schedule.

Maintain accurate updated records in the inventory/helpdesk system to keep track of equipment, parts, and materials.

Maintain accurate records in the helpdesk ticketing system in regards to equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and general time spent performing duties.
Safety

Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.

Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, and carrying.

Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.

Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Requirements
Education/Certification:
- A+ Certified (required or to be achieved during the first year of employment)
- Network+ (preferred)
- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (preferred)
- Google Level 1 (required)
- Google Level 2 (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED
- Clear and valid driver's license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Working knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of software applications and processes
- Working knowledge of audio and video equipment principles
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair computing and peripheral equipment
- Understanding of networking, communications, and cyber/physical security systems
- Ability to update and maintain accurate inventory and documentation
- Customer service and communications
- Understanding of Google Apps for Education
- Understanding of Apple equipment
Experience:
Three years of work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computing equipment in general, preferably in a K-12 environment, Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment; frequent district wide travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
