Job description

  • Lead and manage the functional analysis lifecycle, from pre-study to implementation
  • Define and document functional specifications based on business requirements
  • Conduct preliminary analysis and contribute to solution design
  • Act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring clear translation of needs into technical solutions
  • Work closely with data teams to challenge and refine business requirements
  • Support development, testing, and production phases, ensuring quality delivery
  • Analyse service requests (feasibility, impact, resources, timelines)
  • Contribute to system enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution
  • Handle new functional requests and ensure smooth integration into existing systems
  • Work hands-on with data in a Teradata environment (SQL/DQL queries) for analysis and validation

Requirements

The role requires a strong ability to operate in a complex data environment, working closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams., * Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, ideally in banking

  • Proven experience in data-driven environments (data analysis, reporting, data integration)
  • Strong ability to quickly onboard and understand existing systems and data models
  • Comfortable working in the final delivery phase of a project (go-live / production readiness)
  • Experience in Agile environments (Scrum is a plus, not mandatory), * Strong analytical mindset and conceptual thinking
  • Ability to challenge business stakeholders constructively
  • Experience translating business needs into functional designs and specifications
  • Understanding of banking products (reporting / liquidity is a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of risk-related concepts is an asset

Technical

  • Strong knowledge of SQL / DQL really important
  • Experience working with Teradata databases or similar data warehouse environments NECESSARY
  • Good understanding of data structures, data flows, and reporting systems
  • General awareness of software development lifecycle and IT architecture, * Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently on assigned topics
