Bill Gosling Outsourcing LimitedThe Desktop Support Technician will support end users within our business for their basic Information technology related needs in relation to hardware and software. They will assist in troubleshooting issues for organizations to maintain the functionality of our systems ensuring alignment with business goals. They are responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of required software and hardware whether onsite or remotely, for client or colleagues. They are also accountable for groundwork, installation, and maintenance of end user workstation equipment (laptops/ desktops) and additional peripherals including telco related technology. The maintenance activities will comprise the removal and replacement of computer devices. Working with computer vendor technical support desks and allied services as per the organizational procedures. The technician is involved in the set-up of software and hardware on various types of operating systems like Windows, Unix, Linux, and many more.

What You'll Do:

Please note this is a fully office based role in Glasgow City Centre

Other responsibilities include;

  • Assist the Helpdesk Support team with Desktop Support tasks such as the secure deployment of workstations, portable devices, keyboard, mice, monitors and telephony equipment
  • Assist the business and operational/support staff with supporting helpdesk related processes, tasks, and project items over a variety of channels including voice, SMS and chat
  • Support IT Department with technology related tasks when required including data center and office cabling
  • Assist with team/ operational training on various applications.
  • Monitor daily operations and enhance processes to maximize technology efficiency.
  • Knowledge of Information Systems in relation to supporting workstations, portable devices, keyboards, mice, monitors, telephony software including hardware and software
  • Champion company core values and other company programs
  • Other duties as assigned
