Routing and WAN responsibilities may include BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP or VRRP concepts, QoS, and path resilience. Security often includes Cisco ASA and ASA with FirePOWER services, plus VPN technologies for site to site and remote access. Wireless may include Cisco WLAN controllers and access points depending on the environment.

Requirements

Proven experience supporting and delivering Cisco networks in production environments, with strong capability in design, configuration, troubleshooting, and change delivery. Experience working within change control and maintenance windows, including clear communications, stakeholder management, and risk based planning. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with wider operational, security, and project teams. Confidence operating in customer facing environments and contributing during major incidents.

Certifications and desirable skills CCNA is expected as a baseline, with CCNP preferred. ITIL knowledge is beneficial in governance led environments.
