Working in a highly technical and collaborative environment, the Software Engineer will play a key role in developing an advanced software platform. This is a hands-on position focused on building robust, scalable systems that integrate a range of technical tools, data processing capabilities, and automated workflows. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into production-ready software, contributing across the full development lifecycle., You'll be involved in developing modular software components using technologies such as C++ and C#, integrating third-party and in-house tools, and deploying solutions within a secure cloud-based environment. Responsibilities will include designing and developing platform modules, integrating external tools and services, automating processes, and supporting scalable infrastructure. You'll also contribute to best practices around software architecture, design patterns, and agile development. Requirements
Whilst enthusiasm and a proactive, problem-solving mindset are key, it is hoped that the successful Software Engineer will have:
- Strong experience with C++ and Python
- Experience developing complex software systems or platforms
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Experience working within agile development environments
Experience with any of the following would be highly beneficial:
- Experience integrating third-party tools, APIs, or simulation software
- Cloud platforms such as AWS (including EKS) or Azure
- Containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Full stack development (Vue, TypeScript, Django)
- Machine learning or AI pipeline development
- Experience with engineering, scientific, or simulation-driven applications (e.g. CFD/FEA)
