Job description
Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation Lead the adoption of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE). Oversee day-to-day operations of cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency Monitor system health and performance using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack, and Datadog Manage backup and disaster recovery strategies across cloud platforms Implement and maintain robust cloud security controls aligned with industry standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) Monitor and respond to security threats and incidents across cloud environments Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab Automate cloud operations and deployments to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention Create and manage container images Container registry for version control, observability etc Integrate containerization into DevOps Build secure-by-design containers Familiar with container orchestration tools such as EKS, AKS, ECS-A, OpenShift etcetera Monitor and manage cloud spend, identifying opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization Provide recommendations for cloud service usage and scaling strategies Work closely with cross-functional teams including network engineers, system administrators, and software developers Align cloud initiatives with broader IT and business strategies
Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operational support of cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is ideal for a seasoned cloud professional with deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset, capable of driving innovation, performance, and resilience in a hybrid and multi-cloud environment., Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without any type of visa (EAD, F1, OPT, H1b) requirement now OR at any time in the future Must be local and willing to work on site in Troy, MI Minimum of seven years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Expertise in cloud architecture, networking, and security best practices Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud strategies Familiarity with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions) Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
