Job description
BlackSky is looking for an IT Support Specialist to support our Seattle, Washington location. Reporting to the IT Service Manager, this role handles frontline support of internal users, both in office and remote, resolving both basic and complex issues and working with other specialist IT team members as needed. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, good time management, and delivers exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support for Windows 10, Mac, and Linux users.
- Provide in-office support at least 4 days a week to the Seattle, WA office, providing support to the Tukwila, WA office as needed.
- Manage ticket queue and user communication following SLA guidelines
- Active Directory account creation and account management.
- Supports desktop and laptop imaging.
- Supports various cloud technologies, from video conferencing, to O365, SSO, and other cloud collaboration tools.
- Asset management, equipment ordering, and order tracking.
- Basic network troubleshooting.
- Other job-related duties assigned.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience providing IT systems support for end users.
- Ability to support both Seattle and Tukwila, WA offices.
- Available for after-hours and weekend support as part of an on-call rotation.
- Experience troubleshooting OS and application isues with Windows 11, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android.
- Able to troubleshoot and correct Wi-Fi and wired networking issues.
- Able to create basic configuration documentation, KB articles, and how-to documentation.
- Troubleshoot and correct issues remotely, using remote management tools and methodologies.
- Scripting with PowerShell, Python, and Linux Bash.
- Experience with Office 365, Azure, and Intune.
- Able to work independently, with strong self-direction and initiative, as well as within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Ubuntu advanced troubleshooting and configuration.
- Experience with Microsoft GCC-High based environments
- MCSE, MCSA, or A+ certification.
- Experience implementing processes and technical solutions to comply with security standards such as NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, SOC, ISO 27001, etc.

The anticipated salary range for candidates in Seattle, WA is $74,000-$80,000 per year. The final compensation package offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on specific background and education. BlackSky is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect salary ranges in other states or locations outside of Seattle, WA.
