Job description

Manage and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling to ensure optimal security and performance.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware components such as HDDs, memory, CPU, RAID batteries, and NICs.

Support data center staging, deployment, logistics, and asset management.

Perform site builds, hardware refreshes, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Conduct data center hardware maintenance including break/fix, moves, additions, and changes.

Install and test enterprise cabling including fiber and copper, following industry standards.

Create, update, and maintain rack elevations within a DCIM platform (Nlyte).

Maintain inventory documentation and control systems components schedules.

Troubleshoot and escalate incidents as needed, interfacing with support teams and vendors.

Provide regular status reports on incidents and system performance issues.

Perform preventative maintenance on network and data center equipment.
-
Manage out-of-band systems and power distribution units (PDUs).
-
Ensure compliance with data center safety standards and handle equipment lifting as required.

Document procedures and update site reference documentation regularly.

Maintain organized cabling, including NEMA and IEC power connectors and containment solutions.

Support after-hours and on-call rotation as part of 24/7 operational environment.

Requirements

Minimum 0 years of data center / IT operations experience.

Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies, protocols, and standards.

Experience with network cabling, testing, and handling of fiber and copper cables.

Familiarity with electrical & optical transceivers (SFP+, QSFP+, DWDM, etc.).
-
Hands-on experience with server hardware components.
-
Knowledge of electrical standards, power management, and data center heat dissipation principles.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
-
Basic to intermediate experience with Cisco routers and switches, WAN/LAN configurations, and network troubleshooting.
-
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours maintenance.

High attention to detail, meticulous organization, and safety standards compliance.
