Job description
As the Scrum Master II in Houston, Texas for ENGIE's Global Energy Management & Supply you will manage project scope, schedule, budget, assess quality and risk for the software development teams. Every week, you will report to the Director of PMO to assist with providing updates on team and initiative progress, provide recommendations to improve the team performance, and ensure the scrum team is optimally sized for each work stream.
- Creates and maintains project documentation including project charter or Sprint release plan, project plan, project schedules that align with 2 week sprint cadences, project files and status reports
- Owns and executes all scrum meetings and enforces scrum protocols
- Develops and maintains relationship with stakeholders, developers, project sponsors, executives and vendors; provides strategic guidance and insight
- Creates and manages critical agile artifacts to support effective sprint performances. Artifacts include, but not limited to: Burn ups, Velocity tracker, Burn downs, etc.
- Analyzes business objectives and system requirements to help define project scope, risks and budgetary constraints
- Collaborates closely with the Product Owner and architect to understand upcoming initiatives that will be coming down the roadmap pipeline
- Analyzes sprint performances and develops recommendations on how to improve performance for future sprints
- Determines resource requirements and scheduling of resources accordingly
- Develops Sprint schedule and assigns individual responsibilities
- Provides work direction to project team including assignment and review of project work
- Identifies project-related problems, develops creative solutions and implements solution
- Escalates critical issues that are blocking the development team from continuing development work
- Supports the development team by unblocking impediments and enabling them to continue development work
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering or additional two (5) years of experience in which you've gained an understanding in project delivery or project management providing work scope to software development teams
- A minimum of two (12) years of experience in a project management or scrum master capacity with retail energy industry experience being beneficial for the role
- A Certified Scrum Master Certification (CSM)
- Experienced with Microsoft (MS) toolset (Project Server, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ADO)
- Proven experience with maintaining relationships with stakeholders, business owners, project sponsors, executives and vendors

Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $117,300 - $179,860 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
