Job description

We are pleased to announce the opening for a Systems Administrator who will join our Information Technology Department and provided dedicated support to our office in Marietta, GA and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for research, design and development of algorithms and devices for improving RF interferometry and playing a pivotal role in this mission. We are seeking a talented and passionate technical contributor with enthusiasm to join our team., You'll be the appointed System Administrator (SA) / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving the daily operations of a classified computing environment. You will be collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support independent research and development, design, and fabrication of novel radar/RF technologies. The position will include the following technical and information system security duties:

  • Linux and Windows system administration, to include Ubuntu and networked classified systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, maintain, and enhance tools, libraries, and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues within the Linux environment
  • Responsible for implementation of continuous monitoring strategies including weekly audit reviews
  • Operations consists of patching, backup, software deployment, new system builds and deployments, account management, and troubleshooting.
  • Hardening, developing documentation, and information security control design in support of RMF certification.
  • Support planning, integration, and test activities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Assist in translating objectives into architectural concepts, system and functional requirements, and develop system specifications and external interfaces
  • Communicate solutions and concepts to engineering, scientific, and technical audiences
  • Operate independently
  • Be proactive in identification of problems and solutions

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.
  • You will need 5 years of full-time professional experience. Prefer 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • You must possess, or can obtain, an active Secret Clearance
  • You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.
  • Must be willing to travel to support test events as needed., * Proven experience in Linux systems administration (Ubuntu, RedHat).
  • Experience with Linux systems administration including patch management.
  • Windows systems administration (i.e. Active Directory, Group Policy, etc).
  • Networking experience, to include experience with Cisco switching products.
  • Experience in virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware).
  • Experience with storage solutions (e.g. SANs, Tape Libraries, file services, etc).
  • Backup solution experience (e.g. Veeam)
  • Vulnerability scanning experience (e.g. Tenable Nessus)
  • Experience in implementing secure solutions in regulated environments (DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • A passion for technology and a commitment to staying updated on industry technologies and trends.
  • Multi-faceted skill set with proficiency and experience in the following areas:
  • Software development and configuration management tools (CMake, GIT, VS Code)
  • Programming languages (MATLAB, C++, Python, shell scripting)
  • Interfacing with hardware and troubleshooting and resolving issues across various layers of the IT stack
  • FPGA programming and digital signal processing
  • Interpersonal communications skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
