Job description
- Provide application support and perform problem diagnosis, resolution, and clear status communication.
- Manage the user query mailbox and ensure timely, accurate responses within team scope.
- Design and enhance support tooling and automation using Python and JavaScript with Kafka and MongoDB.
- Support and resolve data feed and batch issues for Autosys and Python-based workflows.
- Monitor critical trading systems with ITRS Geneos, Splunk, and Dynatrace and act on alerts.
- Manage incidents, provide timely user notifications, and execute management escalations as needed.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge base for support processes and systems.
- Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to drive issue resolution.
- Assist with metrics reporting for Python-based systems and Java applications.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Business Continuity testing with required documentation.
- Organize and lead meetings to resolve production issues and track actions.
- Identify and implement automation to eliminate manual, repeatable tasks.
Requirements
We are seeking an Application Architect III to support Global Markets Front Office FICC Credit. The role requires strong production support expertise, collaboration with development and infrastructure teams, and disciplined incident and problem management in a fast-paced trading environment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Python, Unix/Linux, SQL, and shell scripting, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues, develop automation, and maintain robust monitoring and documentation., * Proficiency in Python, Unix/Linux, SQL, and shell scripting.
- Experience supporting trading or similar high-availability systems in Global Markets or Front Office environments.
- Hands-on with monitoring and alerting tools such as ITRS Geneos, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
- Ability to manage incidents, communicate status, and escalate appropriately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear verbal and written communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Fixed Income products and workflows, including Derivatives, Bonds, MTGE Loans, and FIX Connectivity.
- Experience with Quartz, Kafka, MongoDB, Autosys, Ansible, and Java.
