Job description
Collects, analyzes, and interprets operational data to improve distribution performance and support data-driven decision-making. Focuses on executing well-defined analytic work with growing autonomy. This involves creating new analyses, and dashboards, or updating more complex dashboards/reporting. The role develops reports, KPIs, dashboards, and analytical tools using SQL and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI. This position collaborates closely with management and business partners to define analytical requirements, recommend solutions, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical reasoning, data storytelling, and attention to data quality are essential. This role provides mentorship to junior analysts.
Requirements
- 1-3+ years of experience in SQL, including queries, joins, transformations, and data aggregation.
- 1-3+ years of experience with Tableau Desktop, PowerBI, or equivalent data visualization tools.
- Entry-level to moderate experience performing data analysis and reporting, and utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and SharePoint.
- Ability to follow standardized processes related to project management, data governance, and IT security.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Oracle GoldenGate, DBeaver, etc.
- Experience with Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or similar data preparation tools.
- Experience using Python or R for analytics or automation.
- Experience working within a team, and with other teams or departments.
Work Environment:
- Normal warehouse and office environment with some exposure to dust, heat, and cold.
- May include prolonged sitting in front of a computer.
Experience:
- Relevant experience with Tableau or PowerBI required.
- Preferred experience in a warehouse setting or manufacturing.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required (Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Cyber Security, Information Technology, etc.), or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Benefits & conditions
For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $71,971.00 and $ 95,961.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
