Job description

Architects, plans, engineers, and implements desktop virtualization technology and solutions. Manages end-user applications and software for desktops/laptops and applications hosted in the VDI environment.

Coordinates with network, server services, and security teams to resolve issues and ensure a consistent and compatible configuration across the client infrastructure.

Facilitates automated software deployment as well as image creation and compatibility. Ensures security compliance through patching, encryption, configuration management, remote device management, and reporting/visibility.

Resolves issues involving end-user hardware or software in the virtual environment. Coordinates with technicians to develop and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and performs/directs testing.

Researches, maintains, and applies expertise in emerging technologies, and industry developments, trends, best practices, and principles of VDI architectures. Develops knowledge articles related to VDI environments.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Research?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, It is required that the Virtual Desktop Engineer Senior have the following qualifications:
- BA/BS
- Five (5) or more years of related experience. Four (4) additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II (ex. Comp TIA Security + w/CE.
- VMware Certified Professional certification (Data Center v7 .x) with an emphasis on the Omnissa suite of offerings.
