Job description
- Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in modern languages, Artificial Intelligence (AI), DevSecOps, and other methodologies and technologies, especially in relation to complex systems
- Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system
Requirements
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, * Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and a minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar object-oriented software language.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued interim secret security clearance is required prior to start. Note, only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience in developing complex systems and applications using an object-oriented (OO) programming language.
- Experience with Agile lifecycle methodologies including Scrum, Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development Methodologies.
- Proven self-motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation)
- Familiarity with leading a small team (e.g., estimating effort, decomposing tasks, tracking and reporting progress).
- Experience with multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments
- Experience with Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), software development tools like Git/Clearcase, and software debuggers
- Experience in embedded systems, real-time systems, or large-scale applications.
- Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
- Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
- Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
