Job description

CACI is seeking a Database Engineer to Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis. Develops Object-Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software. Project long-range requirements for database administration and design. Responsible for maintaining a database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system and make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security, and domain controls. Responsible for the ingest and management of large data flows and configuration of NiFi clusters., * Monitor disk space, memory, performance

  • Build and maintain monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Utilize network security expertise to analyze and make actionable alerts for the customer Building and monitoring of data flows
  • Manage security certificates and system updates
  • Perform backup and disaster recovery
  • Investigate errors and performance issues

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

  • 5 years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

  • 10 years' experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

  • Experience installing, configuring, and optimizing NiFi standalone instances and clusters

  • Experience with Linux system administration (RHEL)

  • NiFi front end/back-end experience Comfortable creating and maintaining system documentation, SSPs, and SOPs

  • Working knowledge of MongoDB, Postgres, etc.

Required:

  • Experience installing, configuring, and optimizing NiFi standalone instances and clusters
  • Experience with Linux system administration (RHEL)
  • NiFi front end/back-end experience
  • Comfortable creating and maintaining system documentation, SSPs, and SOPs
  • Working knowledge of MongoDB, Postgres, etc.

Desired:

  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Splunk
  • Configuration tools (i.e., Salt/Puppet)
  • Experience with creating procedures to execute queries
  • Experience in DB hardening (Security), ensuring the databases are securely connected and performing regular syncs in between firewalls.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $120,800 - $265,800
