Job description

As a Salesforce Senior Engineer / Solutions Architect, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical leadership and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading the architecture, technical design, and delivery of complex, multi-cloud Salesforce solutions within a global enterprise environment
  • Designing scalable, secure, and high-performing configurations, customizations, integrations, and automation across the Salesforce platform
  • Translating business requirements into robust technical architectures and guiding teams through solution implementation
  • Providing subject matter expertise on Salesforce capabilities, integration patterns, governance standards, and best practices
  • Partnering with global onsite and offsite teams on build, deployment, environment strategy, and operational support
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving long-term resolution and platform stability, All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Eight (8) years of combined IT experience, including advanced Salesforce engineering, architecture, or functional work in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Five (5) years of advanced Salesforce development or architecture experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, data models, security, and API frameworks
  • Strong technical foundation including advanced structured programming (Apex, LWC, Force.com), integration patterns, and relational database design
  • Experience with enterprise integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, MQ, or middleware platforms
  • Master's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
  • Experience driving technical alignment across large global organizations
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage high-priority tasks effectively
  • Salesforce architect or advanced developer certifications

Work location:

  • Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week in Maplewood, MN or Austin, TX locations.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $145,676 - $178,049, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
