The Platform Solutions Engineer role focuses on solving complex platform solutions problems without well-defined solutions and supporting strategic initiatives and managing multiple projects. This role provides technical guidance and works with little supervision and makes decisions that impact business strategy. This role operates with a high level of autonomy and is expected to be self-motivated, thriving in a remote work environment. This role is on the Digital Services' Platform Solutions team, which is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise platform solutions-including document management, content collaboration, ITSM workflows, and integrations across Brown and Caldwell's SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms.

This role utilizes expertise in Microsoft technologies (M365 and Entra), automation, workflow, AI, enterprise application architecture, and API integration architecture. Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities to enhance platform capabilities, designing and implementing integrations, translating business requirements into technical solutions, onboarding new tools, and managing multiple enterprise platforms.

*This position is required to be located in the Denver, CO area, and will require an in-person interview as a final step in the process.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Technical SME: providing guidance and understanding of product features, collaborating with vendors for improvements, and integrating solutions with BC internal development.
  • Communicate updates, train support resources, and manage platform configuration.
  • Lead and complete projects/tasks for the platform team independently and collaboratively.
  • Design and build next-gen enterprise platform solutions. Improve efficiencies through automation and other technology enhancements. Propose solutions to complex business problems.
  • Ensure compliance with BC standard operating procedures, maintain confidentiality through adherence to non-disclosure agreements, and uphold all security policies to protect sensitive information and maintain organizational integrity.
  • Recommend and implement changes to align with the company's strategic direction.
  • Document and ensure solutions adhere to security standards.
  • Act as a project manager and complete assigned tasks.
  • Tailor content to audience needs.
  • Identify limitations and drive necessary changes.
  • Work remotely and independently as required.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.

Experience

  • Typically requires minimum of 8-years of relevant experience in platform solutions or related roles
  • Vendor management experience
  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise ITSM ticketing systems
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Microsoft certifications preferred (Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, etc.) and/or similar on-the-job experience

Education

  • A degree in Information Technology or any related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • ITIL Foundations certification required
