Job description
- Troubleshoot and support Unified Communications systems for faculty, staff, and students, including VoIP, contact center solutions, and voicemail systems.
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain VoIP and Unified Communications devices in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Assist with the deployment and ongoing maintenance of VoIP and Unified Communications systems to ensure reliable service.
- Assist with the installation of wiring, data connections, telephone connections, and fiber-optic cabling as needed.
- Support full-time staff with various Unified Communications or System integration projects.
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills, internet use, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Apply working knowledge of PC hardware and Windows directory structures.
- Assign users to AD security groups.
- Add, Remove, and Audit users in a windows file share environment.
- Document work performed, issues encountered, and resolutions using email and the Help Desk ticketing system.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and external entities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Able to work breaks, including summer. Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently and understand technical instructions in English. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work on a six foot step ladder. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must have normal vision with the ability to clearly read a computer screen. Students must have experience in basic computer skills and internet use. Applicants should be proficient with current Microsoft Windows OS and the Microsoft Office suite.
