The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking experienced Software Engineers to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full time Software Quality Engineer Associate. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting. This position is located at a facility that requires special access., * Current US Citizenship w/ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance

  • Knowledge of quality systems/processes and external quality standards

  • Knowledge of software development life cycle models

  • Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements Desired Skills:

  • Ability to read/write code in C, C++, and/or Java

  • Knowledge of configuration management and control tools

  • Technical knowledge of a related discipline (e.g., Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test)

  • Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development

  • Knowledge of Git, ClearQuest, ClearCase, DOORS, and/or other Configuration Management tools

  • Knowledge of test planning, processing, and addressing nonconformance to include root cause analysis and corrective action development

  • Knowledge of establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement

  • Some travel (although infrequent) will be required for this position to support program objectives

  • Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Ability to work off-shifts and weekends. Although infrequent, the position will require periodic off-shift support for development and testing tasks. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
