Job description

  • Responsible for leading the implementation of enterprise healthcare technology initiatives focused on CMS interoperability and prior authorization compliance requirements.
  • The role involves managing complex cross-functional projects, driving collaboration across business and IT teams, and ensuring successful delivery of healthcare data platform solutions aligned with organizational and regulatory objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale Prior Authorization system implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS Interoperability and Prior Authorization Final Rule requirements.
  • Drive project execution across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure phases.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to support delivery of standardized integration solutions.
  • Oversee resource planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, issue resolution, and change control activities.
  • Provide regular project updates, dashboards, milestone tracking, and executive-level reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams in a matrixed enterprise environment.
  • Track technical and development-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables align with organizational healthcare data platform strategies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of IT project management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering complex initiatives in healthcare environments.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams within enterprise organizations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations including claims, eligibility, and provider data.
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present project updates and status reports to senior leadership.
  • Strong technical background with ability to understand development challenges and technical dependencies.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and governance processes.

Should Have:

  • Experience working with healthcare data systems and enterprise healthcare platforms.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Direct experience managing Prior Authorization system projects.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
