Job description
Flexible workdays and work hours, Monday - Friday, between 8 AM - 5 PM. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor., Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 24 hours per workweek (Sunday - Saturday) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per workweek during breaks; (winter, spring, and summer)., + Provide support to Help Desk customers as needed/required.
- Imaging, configuration, and deployment of laptop and desktop PC's.
- Collection of IT equipment from DGS divisions and offices.
- Data entry in ServiceNow IT asset management database.
- Intake and disposal of IT hardware.Maintaining of shared IT work and storage areas for Desktop Operations team.
Physical Requirements
Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment including computer workstations, telephones, calculators, copiers, printers, and scanners with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to transport desktop and laptops up to 40 lbs. with use of a handcart.

The Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking to hire two (2) student assistants to work within the Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) in Help Desk/Desktop operations. Under the close supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the student assistants will assist with various Information Technology (IT) related activities such as the configuration and deployment of laptop and desktop personal computers (PC's), maintaining the inventory of IT hardware, and providing support to help desk customers as needed/required.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.
