Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior IT Engineer with deep experience in Radiology PACS systems to support fully remote implementations across hospital and imaging center environments for a client. This role is responsible for deploying, configuring, and integrating PACS platforms onto client server infrastructures while ensuring seamless radiology workflows. This is a highly technical, hands-on role for someone experienced with remote system deployments, server environments, and healthcare IT integrations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform remote installation, configuration, and deployment of PACS systems across hospital and imaging center environments

Install and integrate PACS applications onto client server environments (Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments, and storage systems)

Configure and support DICOM, HL7, and RIS/EHR integrations to ensure imaging systems function seamlessly

Execute remote system testing, QA validation, and go-live support for new implementations

Troubleshoot and resolve application, server, and network-related issues impacting PACS performance

Collaborate with radiologists, clinical teams, and IT departments to optimize workflow and system usage

Perform ongoing remote maintenance, upgrades, and system optimization

Document configurations, processes, and technical issues clearly for internal and client use
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Healthcare IT with a strong focus on Radiology PACS systems

Proven experience with remote PACS implementations and system deployments

Hands-on experience with:
? Server environments (Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V)
? Networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, firewalls, LAN/WAN)
? Medical imaging standards (DICOM, HL7)

Experience installing and configuring systems directly onto enterprise servers remotely

Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, applications, and integrations
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and clinical stakeholders - Experience working with PACS vendors (Sectra, GE, Philips, PaxeraHealth, etc.)

Strong understanding of radiology workflows and clinical environments

Experience with cloud-hosted PACS platforms or hybrid environments
Prior experience supporting multi-site healthcare organizations remotely
Benefits & conditions
$120,000 to $145,000 per year annual salary.
