Job description

  • Develop new digital technology solutions including vision inspection systems and AI/ML analysis of machine and sensor data.
  • Analyze user and manufacturing needs to align problems with the right technology solutions.
  • Contribute to and execute Honda's IoT strategy and digital manufacturing roadmap .
  • Monitor emerging technologies for IoT and computer vision opportunities in future manufacturing projects.
  • Support analytical workflows such as machine learning within proof-of-technology concepts through deployment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical problem-solving , cross-functional communication , and a creator mindset that thrives on building new digital solutions while remaining risk-aware and quality-focused., * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Controls, or related fields , OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years in manufacturing equipment controls, embedded systems, network design, ML, data engineering , or related automotive tech environments.
  • Strong understanding of computer vision algorithms : segmentation, morphology, pose estimation, camera calibration, image enhancement, feature extraction, classification, 3D vision, and deep learning.
  • Hands-on experience implementing CV solutions using C++, Python, HALCON, Matrox, Cognex, and/or Keyence .
  • Knowledge of equipment controls and PLC logic ( Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Siemens, or Omron ) plus experience interpreting machine parameter data, vibration/audio/current signatures., * Gain hands-on experience with both plant-floor systems and high-tech digital manufacturing projects.
