Job description

As your primary responsibility, you will operate as a systems engineer for TTWCS modernization efforts, playing an active role across all software development activities - from its design and description to hands-on development and testing. This role will help in shaping the next generation of TTWCS software architecture and execution, and ensuring systems engineering principles are being followed. This role will also perform trade studies and technical comparisons of different solutions for modernization options., * Perform trade studies of different technologies and communicating their results to leadership.

  • Generate system engineering artifacts such as requirements and models.
  • Analyze options, data and opinions provided by other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and execute a TTWCS modernization roadmap.
  • Collaborate with product owners, AI specialists, security, finance, leads, and program managers.

Requirements

Lockheed Martin is advancing next-generation command and control capabilities to support critical missions through scalable, data-driven systems. You will be joining the Enterprise Mission C2 (EMC2) organization supporting the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS) program in Valley Forge, PA.

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with direct experience in modern development practices and technologies to support the TTWCS software modernization effort, working in partnership with external organizations across the TTWCS System Development Activity (SDA)., You have a good understand of the systems engineering lifecycle and awareness of software architecture / development strategy for modernization efforts. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and are motivated by delivering solutions that perform in real-world conditions., * Minimum of 5+years of systems engineering experience on software development program(s)

  • Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle and requirements decomposition.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Strong oral and written communicator who can work independently given minimal direction. Desired Skills:

  • Strongly prefer a candidate with knowledge of micro-service design, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling.

  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience with Cameo.

  • Prior experience with TTWCS as operator or engineer

  • Knowledge of cyber-security principles.

  • Experience integrating new technologies into legacy systems. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
