Senior Systems Engineer - Panama City, FL

If you love high profile and challenging projects supporting the US Navy, then Serco has a great opportunity for you!, As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will join our Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) team supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) and support a broad portfolio of Autonomous Maritime System (AMS) programs in the Panama City, FL location onsite NSWC PCD.

Serco supports this program by collecting, recording, analyzing, evaluating and reporting performance data from the testing of various Unmanned Vehicles (UxV) and systems.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze UxV system designs, specifications, and technical data to determine whether various systems are ready for developmental/operational testing.
• Analyze results from UxV systems and capabilities under test/evaluation to ensure performance successfully meets engineering specifications and operational requirements.
• Investigate system failures, evaluate corrective alternatives and implement actions to ensure UxV systems maintain safe, effective operations and minimize/eliminate potential future system failures.
• Develop technical/logistics documentation in support of UxV operations, training and sustainment, including user manuals, training guides and system maintenance manuals.
• Develop concept of operations (CONOPS) and standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for UxV operations, tactics, doctrine and vehicle deployment.

• Active or current Secret Clearance.
• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in an engineering discipline, computer science, math and related field.
• 8 years of related/similar experience.
• Knowledge/experience developing and implementing vehicle lift plans, load plans, deck plans, deployment and recovery plans.
• Demonstrated experience developing systems engineering documentation, including systems engineering plans, test/evaluation plans and life-cycle equipment maintenance plans.
• Knowledge of, and experience working with military unmanned systems and safety standards, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge and experience following Systems Engineering standards, procedures and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments.
• Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, and at all levels of sponsor/customer/corporate organizations.
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products, such as MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
