Job description
Ukreate is the content-to-booking infrastructure for travel and hospitality. We connect hotels and resorts with vetted travel creators to drive direct bookings, reduce OTA dependency, and turn content into real revenue. Our platform powers creator discovery, verification, campaign execution, and performance tracking for hotel groups, boutique resorts, yacht charters, and a growing network of verified creators worldwide.
We're a small, fast-moving team. We're hiring our first in-house engineer to own the platform end-to-end.
The role
You'll be the technical foundation of Ukreate. That means shipping features real hotels and creators use daily, owning the codebase, and making the architectural calls that shape the product for years to come. You'll work directly with the founders, ship to production weekly, and have a direct line of sight from your work to revenue.
This is not a checklist of Jira tickets. This is a builder role. If you want to own a product, ship fast, and watch hotels and creators actually use what you build, keep reading.
What you'll do
- Build and ship features across the full stack: creator dashboard, hotel-facing campaign tools, payment flows, application and booking pipelines, admin tooling.
- Own the front end in React and TypeScript. Fast, polished, conversion-focused UI.
- Build and maintain Node.js or serverless backend services, RESTful APIs, and data integrations.
- Integrate third-party services: Stripe for payments and subscriptions, analytics, Meta and Google ad APIs, email and SMS providers, transactional comms.
- Design schemas and queries against PostgreSQL or similar. Performance matters when both sides of a marketplace are searching at scale.
- Ship to production on a modern hosting stack (Vercel, AWS, or similar) with real CI/CD.
- Work alongside our no-code tooling (Base44) where it makes sense, and replace it with hardened code when it doesn't.
- Help define product priorities, not just execute them., * Sitting in three-hour spec meetings.
- Writing ASP.NET, SOAP services, WCF, or XSLT.
- Waiting two weeks for a deploy.
How we work
- Remote-first. Most of the team is in or near US Eastern time. You can be anywhere with overlap.
- Weekly cadence. Ship something every week. Demo it. Move on.
- Direct access to the founders. You'll work with the CEO and team daily.
- No agency bureaucracy. We hate it as much as you do.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Python?, * 4+ years shipping production web apps.
- Strong React and TypeScript. Clean, modern, component-driven UI.
- Solid Node.js (or equivalent) backend experience. You understand API design, auth, data modeling, and where things break at scale.
- Real database skills in PostgreSQL or MySQL. Efficient queries, smart schema design, no N+1 disasters.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Vercel, GCP).
- Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and shipping multiple times a day.
Bonus
- Experience with Stripe, marketplaces, or two-sided platforms.
- React Native or mobile experience.
- Background in travel, hospitality, or the creator economy.
