Own and manage the product backlog, roadmap, and release planning for life insurance/reinsurance platforms.

Drive end-to-end platform delivery, balancing client requirements, regulatory needs, and technical priorities.

Lead platform migration and modernization initiatives, including dependency mapping, sequencing, and rollback strategies.

Work closely with engineering teams to review architecture, APIs, database design, and deployment pipelines.

Manage legacy systems with multiple client-specific variants, ensuring maintainability and consistency.

Collaborate across engineering, QA, operations, actuarial, and business teams to ensure aligned execution.

Requirements

Proven experience managing legacy codebases with multiple variants/forks

Hands-on experience in platform migration and transformation programs

Strong technical fluency: Ability to read and interpret architecture documents

Understanding of APIs, database schemas, and system integration

Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment pipelines

Experience in Agile delivery, backlog management, and prioritization

Strong stakeholder management and cross-team coordination skills

Ability to work with and align business, technical, and operational teams

Strong documentation and specification writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to US GAAP / Statutory reporting for life insurance

Understanding of actuarial concepts such as reserving, cashflow modeling, and experience studies

Experience working in insurance domain transformation or digital modernization programs

Familiarity with ITIL processes and production support environments

- Paid holidays, Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below., Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
