Job description
The Computer Support Specialist provides technical support for employees. Responsibilities include assigning, installing, maintaining, and configuring computer hardware and software and ensuring the security of networks and systems. This role also provides guidance to users regarding operation of equipment, network administration, and troubleshooting user support issues.
Requirements
Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- 2+ years experience providing basic computer support or training to youth and/or adults
- Knowledge of PC hardware and software configurations, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience installing, troubleshooting, and managing Microsoft products
- Experience troubleshooting email related issues
- Configuration, management, and troubleshooting skills for routers, switches, and firewalls
- Ability to multitask in order to complete responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to recognize IT issues and opportunities and determine the appropriate action required
- Ability to use time effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge of network infrastructure standards
- Experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
