The CDS Information System Security Officer (ISSO) performs CDS-related ISSO duties at the enclave level (AFSCI, AOC SIPRNet, SIPRNet, ACBN and Private ISP) at assigned locations IAW NCDSMO-R-00008-005_01, Department of War (DoW) and National Cross Domain Strategy & Management Office (NCDSMO) "Raise-the-Bar" (RTB) Standards, Version 5.1, dated 9 February 2026. The CDS ISSO establishes, maintains and documents the appropriate CDS operational security postures for assigned enclaves. This includes activities related to maintaining situational awareness and initiating actions to improve or restore cybersecurity posture. The CDS ISSO performs CDS Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) administrator duties.
The CDS ISSO serves as the Risk Management Framework (RMF) subject matter expert, supporting enclave and system authorization and accreditation IAW NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5.
The CDS ISSO will complete vendor-provided CDS solution training, and will attain and maintain CDS vendor-provided certification
The CDS ISSO will obtain/maintain DoW 8570.01M IAT Level III Certification.

BA/BS + 12 yrs exp (8 specialized) OR

MA/MS + 8 yrs exp (7 specialized) OR

Ph.D. + 6 yrs exp (2 specialized) OR

No Degree + 13 yrs exp (7 specialized), 8 + years of related experience

Work Requirements
Years of Experience, The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
