Job description
The Compositor is responsible for creating the final visual output of shots by combining 2D and 3D elements into cohesive, high-quality images that support the artistic vision of the project. Working closely with the Compositing Supervisor, CG Supervisor, Lighting, FX and Production teams, the Compositor ensures shots are delivered to the highest creative and technical standards while respecting production deadlines and quotas., * Composite final shots in Nuke following the creative and technical direction of the Compositing Supervisor and Directors;
- Deliver high-quality shots that maintain continuity, consistency and cinematic storytelling across sequences and episodes;
- Work seamlessly with 2D, CG and 2.5D elements, understanding the limitations and requirements of animation pipelines;
- Ensure renders, layers and final outputs meet the required visual and technical standards;
- Organise and manage large shot counts, versions and render workflows efficiently;
- Maintain clean, well-structured and clearly labelled Nuke comps;
- Collaborate closely with Lighting, FX, Pipeline and Production teams to ensure smooth shot delivery;
- Address feedback efficiently and communicate proactively with supervisors and upstream departments;
- Contribute to workflow improvements and help optimize compositing pipeline processes where needed.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Scripting?, o Mid: 2-5 years of professional experience o Senior: +5 years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge of Nuke
- Experience working on full CG animated TV series or feature animation projects is required
- Familiarity with Python scripting or pipeline tools is a plus
- Solid understanding of CG render passes, colour pipelines, grading and image integration;
- Excellent eye for composition, colour, lighting, mood and cinematic continuity;
- Ability to work within a defined pipelined workflow to ensure good team working;
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards;
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage large shot counts and multiple versions;
- Ability to interpret creative and technical feedback accurately;
- Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities;
- Knowledge of ACES and colour management workflows is a plus
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment;
- Strong communication skills and fluent English.
- Valid EU/Spanish work permit required
- Availability to work on-site in Tenerife
