Job description
work with business stakeholders to develop business reports/dashboard and support building data pipelines. You will own customer relationships about data and execute tasks such as ensuring high data availability, low latency, documenting data details and transformations, and handling user notifications and training. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's data infrastructure while working with new technologies and collaborating with diverse teams across Ro W (the rest of the world excl. NA and EU) countries. Key Job Responsibilities Drive large cross-team programs with limited guidance from a manager. Optimize user data pipelines and SQL/database infrastructure across Ro W. Help business stakeholders provide data pipeline solutions using Amazon/ARTS internal tech products and AWS services such as Redshift, Sage Maker, EMR, ETL tools, and data lake. Develop scripts for maintenance automation. Execute technical implementation with clear milestone planning and lead it to smooth launch. Help business stakeholders ramp up with internal Amazon tech products (e.g., Redshift Cluster, ETL tools, query performance). A Day in the Life Attend daily standup to give status updates. Monitor, maintain, and optimize the team's data infrastructure health and performance. Develop scripts to automate maintenance of the team's data infrastructure. Learn about a new business intelligence technology and AWS services. About the Team The Amazon ARTS (APEX-Ro W Technology Solutions) team is responsible for creating core analytics tech capabilities and data engineering services for Ro W countries. It comprises platform development, research science, software development, and data engineering. ARTS develops scalable analytics applications and research modeling to optimize operational processes. At ARTS, data engineers, data scientists, business intelligence engineers, and product managers use rigorous quantitative approaches to ensure that we target providing high-quality data tech products to customers worldwide, including India, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Turkey, and MENA. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, No SQL, etc. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Quicksight. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Experience in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab. Experience with SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling. Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+). Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product. Preferred Qualifications Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets. Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, Dynamo DB, S3, and Redshift. Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
