We are now seeking an exceptional Head of IT Product Development & Delivery (ITPDD) to join our Technology and Information Services (TIS) Senior Leadership Team.

About the Role

As a senior leader within TIS, you will drive the delivery of robust, high-quality digital services that support staff, students, and partners across the University. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our digital ecosystem-ensuring seamless, end-to-end user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership across:
  • Infrastructure Services
  • Solution Design
  • Technical Design Authority
  • Continuous DevOps
  • Champion modern software practices, using ITIL, Agile, and DevOps methodologies
  • Drive continuous improvement in digital capability and service delivery
  • Ensure structured, efficient processes across IT services
  • Collaborate across the University to align IT services with evolving business needs
  • Bring sector and industry insight to enhance innovation and strategic delivery

About You

  • Extensive experience across the full IT lifecycle within a medium-sized organisation
  • Strong understanding of business systems, operational processes, and information-led environments
  • Expertise in contemporary software development practices and trends
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams
  • Professional knowledge and practical experience in ITIL v3, PRINCE2, and/or Agile
  • Relevant IT qualification

Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid role with minimum 2 days per week on-site
  • Flexibility required to meet business needs
