Job description
They are looking for someone with expertise in theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS), app integration, and UI/UX improvements will be required. Responsibilities include optimizing site speed, ensuring mobile responsiveness, managing product variants, animation at some points, and implementing marketing tracking., * Theme Development & Customization: Customize Shopify themes (Prestige, Dawn, etc.) using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to match brand guidelines.

Performance Optimization: Improve website speed, core web vitals, and mobile user experience to enhance conversion rates (CRO).

App & API Integration: Integrate and manage third-party apps for marketing, shipping, and inventory management.

Technical Troubleshooting: Fix bugs, optimize the checkout process, and maintain app integrations.

Data & Analytics: Implement Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Data Layer events (Add to Cart, Purchase) for accurate tracking.

Store Management: Handle product uploads, collection setups, and metafields.
Requirements

Experience with the Shopify Plus or Advanced platform.

Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

E-commerce Knowledge: Strong understanding of D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) brand needs, CRO principles, and SEO best practices.

Tools: Experience with Figma/Adobe XD for design-to-code implementation.

Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Experience with Shopify Plus features (scripts, launchpad).

Background in international store setup (currency, localization).

Experience with subscription models.

£40,000 plus benefits We're working with a medical device and innovative AI company who are looking for Shopify Developer to join an e-commerce brand and they are looking for someone who can build, customise, and maintain an online store focused on maximizing sales. This is a full-time permanent hybrid role based in Cambridge and you will be based 1 - 2 days per week in the office.
