Are you an early to mid-career UI/UX designer who enjoys solving problems, improving digital products and working on real platforms used by real learners?, We're a growing digital platform business building learning and compliance systems used by organisations across the UK. We are now looking for a Junior to Mid UI/UX Designer with front-end or WordPress experience to support our team as we continue to develop and improve our platforms.
This role would suit a technically minded creative who already has some UI/UX design experience and wants to grow into more complex digital platform work over time. You'll work closely with our lead designer and developer, supporting a range of WordPress, WooCommerce and learning platform projects.
The role will involve a mixture of user journey planning, low and high-fidelity design, responsive website updates, content changes, testing, client communication and some light front-end or WordPress support. It is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable and keen to build experience within a small team where their work will make a visible difference.
What you'll do:
- Support the design, improvement and maintenance of our WordPress-based learning platforms
- Plan and improve user journeys across websites, courses, memberships and registration flows
- Create wireframes, low-fidelity concepts and high-fidelity designs
- Design responsive pages, layouts and platform improvements
- Work with brand guidelines and design systems
- Help turn client requirements into clear, practical digital solutions
- Make updates to pages, layouts, content and user journeys
- Test new features, fixes and platform changes
- Help identify usability issues, design inconsistencies and user experience improvements
- Support WooCommerce, LMS and membership-based functionality where needed
- Work from task lists and provide clear progress updates
- Support the lead designer and developer on larger builds and improvements
- Help document design decisions, issues, fixes and repeatable processes
Requirements
Do you have experience in Usability?, Essential:
- 1-3 years of professional design experience
- A portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work on websites, apps, SaaS products or digital platforms
- Evidence of end-to-end thinking, including user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity designs
- Experience using industry-standard tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Understanding of core UX principles, including information architecture, user flows and usability
- Ability to take a brief from wireframe through to high-fidelity, production-ready designs
- Confidence designing responsive website updates carefully, accurately and cleanly
- Comfortable working with brand guidelines and design systems
- Experience working with WordPress websites
- Some understanding of HTML and CSS
- Excellent digital problem-solving skills
- Comfortable testing websites and spotting issues
- Organised, reliable and able to follow technical instructions
- Clear communication and willingness to ask questions
- Interest in learning platforms, membership sites and digital products
- Applicants must be based in the UK and already have the right to work in the UK. We are not currently able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Nice to have:
- Exposure to accessibility standards, including WCAG
- Familiarity with JavaScript or front-end frameworks
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Experience with LearnDash or other LMS platforms
- Experience using Elementor or similar page builders
- Basic awareness of APIs or integrations
- Experience working with clients or non-technical stakeholders

Pay: £26,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
