Senior Python Developer - Nr London - Hybrid - 1 office day per week

This is an opportunity for a Senior Python Engineer to play a key role in the continued growth of a modern engineering platform, contributing across backend development, architecture, scalability and technical improvement initiatives within a collaborative technology team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and developing backend functionality using Python

• Contributing to scalable microservices architecture and distributed systems

• Building and maintaining RESTful APIs

• Driving best practice across testing, CI/CD and code quality

• Collaborating closely with Product, QA and Engineering teams

• Supporting and mentoring other developers where required

• Contributing to technical planning and solution design

• Assisting with automation, deployment and platform scalability

Technology Environment

• Python

• Microservices Architecture

• Cloud-based infrastructure (AWS environment)

• REST APIs

• Git / modern version control tooling

• CI/CD pipelines

• Agile delivery environment

• Strong commercial Python engineering experience

• Experience working within scalable and complex software environments

• Good understanding of microservices and distributed systems

• Experience designing and developing APIs

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS

• Strong understanding of modern engineering tooling and practices

• Previous mentoring or technical leadership exposure would be beneficial
