Job description

Product Owner - Claims: We are currently recruiting for two Product Owner opportunities-one permanent position and one 12-month secondment. In this role, you will be responsible for maximising the value of products delivered by Agile teams, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer needs. You will own and communicate the product vision, lead product discovery, and manage the product backlog to ensure priorities are clearly defined and deliver maximum value. Working closely with cross-functional teams and a wide range of stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping solutions that deliver measurable outcomes across the full product lifecycle. This includes collaborating with design, engineering and business teams, influencing priorities, and continuously reviewing performance to identify opportunities, manage risks, and drive innovation. You will also contribute to strategic objectives, ensuring that all product activity is aligned to delivering tangible business benefits and an enhanced customer experience. Main Responsibilities as Product Owner - Claims:

  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring user stories and initiatives are clearly defined and deliver maximum business value.

  • Lead product discovery and bring the voice of the customer into decision-making through research, testing and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Work cross-functionally with Agile teams, design, engineering and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality product solutions.

  • Define and communicate the product vision, ensuring alignment with business strategy and driving innovation across the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of working within an agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives, continuously reviewing performance and identifying opportunities to optimise delivery and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and conflicting priorities, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes at pace.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible messaging for non-technical audiences.
  • Solid understanding of business processes, with experience in claims environment considered advantageous.

Benefits & conditions

Travel: You will be expected in your contractual office 1 day per week and travel to other Ageas UK offices where necessary but expectation is approximately 1 day per month.
