Job description
We are hiring for a great client in Newport Beach, CA. This is an on-site contract opportunity for an IT Technician - Operations who will provide day-to-day technical support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and assist with network and systems administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide help desk and desktop support to end users with varying technical skills
- Install, configure, and maintain PC and Mac hardware, software, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity
- Support Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, antivirus tools, and other standard business applications
- Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory; perform basic system administration tasks
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN connectivity, security, and system availability
- Log, track, and resolve support tickets in a timely manner
- Prepare technical documentation and user instructions as needed
- Assist IT team with hardware/software upgrades, system testing, and installations
- Coordinate with vendors and internal staff to resolve technical issues
- Stay current on emerging technology trends and recommend improvements
Requirements
- 2+ years of technical IT support or operations experience
- Bachelors Degree in related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and common business applications
- Experience with PC hardware/software troubleshooting and networking protocols (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP)
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred; certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
