Job description

You will be the Software Engineer Sr for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries., As a Software Engineer Sr at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. You will be helping us solve the world's most difficult challenges supporting such wide-ranging domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense. We are a matrix engineering and technology organization so you will touch multiple programs over your career!

What You Will Be Doing

As a Software Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for developing and integrating software solutions for real-time embedded systems, including hardware in the loop (HWIL) environments. Your Responsibilities Will Include Develop Embedded Software in C/C++ (version 11 or higher) Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls., Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

Must have Active SECRET Clearance

BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field

The candidate must have previous HWIL experience working with real time embedded systems using both HW/SW

Proficiency in C/C++ (version 11 or higher for C++)

Proficiency in Linux systems and Real-Time Operating Environment

Experience working in cross-discipline/cross-functional teams

Experience Integrating hardware and software

Experience in real-time software generation, with hands-on experience related to hardware testing and/or embedded systems and/or a simulation systems

Ability to physically come on site in Dallas and work in labs to support integration

Desired skills

MS or greater in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field

Ada experience

Full software development life cycle experience

Git, Gitlab, JIRA

Agile experience (scrum)

Experience integrating closed loop systems

Experience with automated testing frame works as well unit testing

Experience with low level software development /device drivers

We offer flexible work schedules to comprehensive benefits investing in your future and security, Learn more about Lockheed Martin's comprehensive benefits package here., Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
