Job description
As a Senior Front End Developer in EY's Service Delivery Center Technology team, you will work with software development engineers to analyze, design, develop, integrate, test, implement, and deploy new and existing software applications. You will lead the design and implementation of complex, high-performance front-end solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, influence architectural decisions, and help shape the front-end development roadmap. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to deliver scalable, maintainable, and user-centered web applications while promoting engineering best practices across the team., * Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable custom enterprise web applications
- Translate business requirements and Figma designs into responsive, high-quality UI solutions using modern frontend frameworks
- Develop reusable React components, custom hooks, and modular front-end architectures to promote maintainability and scalability
- Integrate REST APIs with robust asynchronous handling, error management, and data-fetching strategies
- Implement state management, form workflows, and validation frameworks to support complex UI interactions
- Ensure UI performance, accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, and cross-browser consistency
- Drive front-end engineering excellence , including code quality, reusable components, and best practices
- Collaborate with backend, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality solutions within Agile environments
- Contribute to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to enterprise performance and usability standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional frontend development experience , with strong emphasis on modern web application delivery
- Strong expertise in: React development (component architecture, custom hooks), JavaScript (ES6+) / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design principles
- Hands-on experience with:
- Responsive UI development using modern styling frameworks (e.g., TailwindCSS or similar)
- REST API integration , including async handling, API error states, and data synchronization
- State management and data handling (e.g., Redux, Context API, TanStack Query, caching strategies)
- Form handling and validation workflows (e.g., React Hook Form, schema validation using Zod or equivalent)
- HTTP client libraries (e.g., Axios, Fetch API, KY)
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise applications , with a focus on - Scalability, Performance, Usability
- Experience implementing UIs from Figma or design systems into production-ready code
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions within collaborative delivery environments
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred experience
- Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to:
- Front-end standards
- Reusable component libraries / design systems
- Engineering best practices
- Experience with:
- Performance optimization techniques (e.g., lazy loading, memoization)
- Design systems and component libraries
- Accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability best practices
- Familiarity with:
- Advanced state management patterns
- Component architecture and scalability approaches
- Experience working in Agile environments across distributed, cross-functional teams
- Exposure to:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines)
- Automated testing frameworks and quality gates
Required education/certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus but are not required unless mandated by project or client needs.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $67,000 to $136,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $80,300 to $155,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
