Job description
We are looking for a skilled IT Field Technician to join our client in Oklahoma City. As part of a trusted local MSP, the IT Field Technician will be responsible for providing exceptional onsite support to our clients, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving a range of IT issues. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy problem-solver who enjoys interacting with clients and working in a dynamic environment., * Provide onsite technical support to clients for a variety of IT systems, including desktops, laptops, networks, servers, and software applications.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform regular system checks and maintenance tasks to prevent technical issues and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client environments, configurations, and support requests.
- Act as a point of contact for client support, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support larger-scale IT projects and upgrades.
- Educate and guide clients on best practices for IT security and system usage.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support or field technician role, ideally within an MSP environment.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with network configurations, including routers, switches, and firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, or equivalent).
- Basic knowledge of server administration and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to document work accurately.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client site visits., * Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Google Workspace.
