Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications with expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, with a focus on retail-facing systems
  • Build and maintain back-end retail applications using Java, including RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and integration with enterprise systems
  • Develop responsive, modern front-end experiences using JavaScript frameworks including React, React Native, and Angular
  • Develop software solutions and conduct tests to drive engineering projects and ensure quality deliverables
  • Contribute to design innovations that improve systems, processes, or services using new frameworks and industry best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to deliver end-to-end software solutions across the full application stack, mentor junior engineers, and drive knowledge sharing sessions
  • Support technology strategy by evaluating and applying current technologies that align with business goals
  • Support high-availability, scalable production environments and proactively resolve technical issues using independent judgment
  • Create clear documentation for software code, system designs, and business requirements to support knowledge sharing
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management or equivalent experience in field (Required)
  • 4-7 years Technical engineering experience (Required)
  • Experience using enterprise AI tools to support coding, documentation, and engineering workflows (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Full Stack Development - React, React Native, Angular (front-end); Java (back-end) (Preferred)
  • JavaScript frameworks and modern front-end architecture (Preferred)
  • Back-end retail application development and microservices (Preferred)
  • RESTful API design and integration (Preferred)
  • React Native for cross-platform mobile development (Preferred)
  • Angular for enterprise-scale front-end applications (Preferred)

Job Overview This role is essential for designing, implementing, and deploying scalable software solutions that meet customer requirements and support high availability environments. The role involves collaborating with engineers to develop software components using technologies such as virtualization, microservices, software-defined networking, network functions virtualization, and big data. It requires independent judgment to resolve technical issues and make recommendations for software design and implementation. The work impacts organizational capabilities by enabling advanced software systems that improve operational efficiency and customer experience., Base Pay Range: $113,600 - $205,000 Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
