Job description
CGI is seeking a strong Java Backend Developer with Spring Boot. The ideal candidate must be passionate about technology, writing code and solve problems.
If you are looking for a new challenge and want to make a difference in the Healthcare Industry, this role is for you. you will design, develop and integrate solutions to solve business and technical requirements across applications.
This role can be performed in any Hartford, CT or Lafayette, LA (Hybrid)
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Develop test protocols or plan for testing revised application and review test results.
Design and integrate with APIs or Database services.
Develop solutions using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) patterns, automating business process models, API enabled gateway, security and multi/hybrid cloud-based services.
Requirements
6+ years of experience in Software Development as a Java/Spring Boot developer.
4+ Years experience in developing Restful/Microservices using Spring boot and NodeJS.
2+Experience with Amazon AWS Cloud Services.
Good knowledge in using JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS3, Typescript and ES6.
Hands on working experience with API-API integration and multi-modal services, Kafka and Apache Spark.
Experience with MonoRepo environment.
Good hands-on understanding of Kubernetes, Dockers, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline and Maven.
Deep knowledge of best practices commonly used modules and creating self-contained reusable and testable modules and components.
Dedicated team player who can lead a project (or more!), has good analytical skills and has worked on large-scale applications.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science preferred.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 - 161,600., CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 - $238,100.00.
