Job description
As a Data Scientist III, you will impact business results by utilizing big data and deploying analytical solutions across the business, including ML/AI algorithms, customer modeling, and pricing models. You will present timely, insightful, and actionable presentations to influence marketing strategy, key business initiatives, and ongoing product, promotional, or pricing strategies. Your responsibilities include data mining, modeling, and analyzing data through a variety of statistical techniques to derive business insights and providing recommendations to Senior Management to influence critical business decisions.
- Develop and deploy analytical solutions across functions such as customer acquisition, retention, product development, and ROAS.
- Build and test audience targeting strategies and models, including relevancy, re-targeting, and look-a-like models.
- Identify relevant data sources and pipelines; collect large structured and unstructured datasets for reporting and measurement.
- Devise algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis, and validate data for accuracy.
- Research and analyze data to uncover deep relationships for use in ML/AI algorithms.
- Design and implement ML/AI algorithms, collaborating with engineers to apply them in production.
- Analyze data and translate results into tailored reports and findings for vendors and business partners.
- Work across multi-disciplinary teams to translate business needs into testable hypotheses and design experiments.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop customized KPIs and visualizations.
- Stay current with technical and industry developments.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an excellent collaborator, communicator, and project manager with extensive hands-on data experience. You are a flexible and independent problem solver in a fast-moving, highly diverse environment, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously., * Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist with large and complex data sets, relational databases, and data tools.
- Significant relevant experience building and deploying advanced analytics solutions in B2C or B2B e-Commerce or Retail environments.
- Proficiency in data wrangling and modeling (SQL, R, Python, Pyspark), regression and classification modeling techniques (XGBoost, LightGBM), and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, Databricks) and pipelining tools (Airflow) preferred.
- Experience building in-production models, including scripting, error handling, and documentation., * Master's degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, or a related field.
