Hadoop / HPE MapR Engineer

• Implement and maintain large-scale data platforms using HPE MapR and Hadoop technologies.
• Enhance and optimize MapR-based clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Resolve performance and stability issues in production-grade environments.
• Maintain operational efficiency of enterprise-scale clusters.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on initiatives with broad organizational impact.
• Evaluate ambiguous or unprecedented technical scenarios to deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet organizational policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

• Experience with Hadoop distributions, specifically HPE MapR.
• Deep understanding of data storage and cluster computing.
• Skilled in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Experience with Python, Java, Scala, or Bash.
• Familiarity with batch and stream processing paradigms.
• experience managing enterprise-scale clusters with high availability.
• resolve complex issues in distributed environments.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar.

Pay Range: $60/hr to $65/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
