Job description

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

Google is running fast toward an AI-native future, and our AI enablement organization is at the epicenter of this shift. Within this broader organization, we act as a highly specialized Engineering Strike team a dedicated group of core software engineers focused purely on accelerating this transition through technology. We don't just consult on AI we build. As a fast-moving, high-impact 0-to-1 squad, we are dedicated to bridging the gap between AI capabilities and practical, daily engineering workflows. We build the internal products, tools, and lighthouse automation platforms that directly empower Googlers to become fundamentally more productive and AI-native, rewriting the rules of how the Google workforce builds and operates.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google's products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company., * Lead the technical execution of transitioning experimental, bleeding-edge AI prototypes into scalable, and secure internal products.

  • Take full ownership of complex technical areas within the team. Index extremely high on technical problem-solving to unblock development and translate highly ambiguous concepts into tangible, delivered solutions.
  • Uphold strong engineering standards and write a lot of high-quality code. Collaborate with peers to establish best practices for AI-native software development.

Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements. See also Google's EEO Policy and EEO is the Law. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please let us know by completing our Accommodations for Applicants form.
