Senior Director of Cloud

A global enterprise operating in a highly regulated environment is seeking a senior technology leader to oversee Platform Reliability, Cloud Strategy, Governance, and Engineering Operations.

This role will lead enterprise-scale initiatives across SRE, cloud architecture, operational governance, FinOps/SecOps collaboration, and engineering performance reporting. The successful candidate will shape long-term platform strategy while driving reliability, scalability, compliance, and operational excellence across modern cloud environments.

Key focus areas:

• Scaling mature Site Reliability Engineering practices (SLOs, SLAs, incident management, automation)
• Defining cloud governance and enterprise architecture standards across AWS/Azure/GCP
• Leading platform compliance, audit remediation, and operational risk management
• Driving observability, KPI reporting, and data-led engineering decisions
• Partnering with Product, PMO, Security, and Infrastructure leadership on strategic platform delivery
• Building and mentoring high-performing engineering leadership teams

• 15+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform reliability
• Proven leadership within complex, regulated environments
• Deep expertise across Kubernetes, cloud-native platforms, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure governance
• Experience leading enterprise SRE or platform engineering functions at scale
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capability, Experience within financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.

Compensation Package:

• $250-300k base
• 35% annual bonus
• 25+ days PTO
